Everything seems to be disposable. Toys. Televisions. Cars. Food. Why is it that everything is tossable? Why can everything be replaced so easily? Have we become such a fickle society that a bruised apple does not meet our high expectations? Why must we watch our neighbor starve while we waste 96 billion pounds of food annually? Corporate greed.
Greed has made our society focus on the unimportant things. Things that don’t show love or display how rich you are. They simply show how shallow you are I think. I notice a person’s personality and aura NOT how many carats the ring was or what kind of suit he was wearing.
Children in Haiti go to sleep hungry. They eat mud cakes.
Knowing this does not bring me peace.
